    Mater Dei beat South Central 13-1 in five innings and beat Vandalia 9-0.
    In the win over South Central, Mater Dei scored four runs in the first inning, two runs in the second inning, one run in the third inning and one run in the fourth inning to take an 8-0 lead. South Central scored a run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Mater Dei scored five runs in the top of the fifth inning.
    Adrian Rendon pitched four innings, allowing one run on two hits with three strikeouts. Everett Knackstedt pitched one inning, allowing no runs on no hits with one strikeout.

    Rendon had three hits and four RBI. Jack Reynolds had two hits, two RBI and one run scored. Avery Strader had a hit and scored three runs. Evan Kreke had a hit, RBI and a run scored. Dawson Kreke and Andrew Sinnock both had a hit and an RBI and Luke Etheridge had a hit and scored a run.
    Mater Dei scored six runs in the first inning, one run in the second inning and two runs in the fourth inning against Vandalia.
    Ethan Wheelan pitched six innings, allowing no runs on two hits with five strikeouts. Reynolds had two strikeouts in one inning pitched.
    Sinnock had three hits and five RBI. Evan Kreke had two hits, one RBI and three runs scored. Cam Wellen had a hit and an RBI. Hunter Melton had a hit.
    Wesclin 11, Mater Dei 9: The Warriors beat the Knights on Thursday, March 26, in Breese.
    Wesclin scored four runs in the top of the first inning. Ayden Peterson hit a two-run home run to put the Warriors up 2-0. Kennett Spalding had a two-RBI single to push the Warrior lead to 4-0.
    Adrian Rendon had a two-RBI single in the bottom of the first inning to get Mater Dei within 4-2.
    Lucas Harriss had an RBI double in the second inning to give Wesclin a 5-2 lead. Evan Kreke scored on an error in the bottom of the second inning to get Mater Dei within 5-3.
    A Mater Dei error allowed Wesclin to score a run in the top of the third inning.
    Mater Dei scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning to tie the game.


    Rendon had a two-RBI single in the bottom of the third inning to get Mater Dei within 6-5. Ethan Wheelan had a sacrifice fly to tie the game.
     Wesclin scored five runs in the top of the fourth inning to take an 11-6 lead. Jake Donoho had a two-RBI single in the inning.
    Mater Dei loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning. Rendon was hit by a pitch. Andrew Sinnock hit a sacrifice fly to get the Knights within 11-8.
    Jack Reynolds scored on a steal of home in the bottom of the sixth inning to get Mater Dei within 11-9.
    Kyler Von Bokel had a one-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning for Mater Dei. Wesclin pitcher Landon Jacobsen struck out the next two Mater Dei batters to end the game.
    Wesclin outhit Mater Dei 10-7. Melone had two hits, including a triple, with three runs scored. Rendon had two hits, five RBI and one run scored. Kreke had two hits and one run scored. Von Bokel doubled.
    Sinnock started and allowed four earned runs on six hits with five strikeouts in three innings pitched. Avery Strader pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief, allowing no runs on three hits with two strikeouts. Reynolds had two strikeouts in one inning pitched.
    Peterson had two hits, including a two-run home run, for Wesclin. Harriss had two hits, including a double, with one RBI and one run scored.
    Peterson had six strikeouts in four innings pitched. Jacobsen pitched three innings, allowing one run on one hit with four strikeouts.
    Belleville West 6, Mater Dei 2: The Knights fell on the road on Wednesday, March 25.
    Belleville West had a 3-0 lead through four innings. Mater Dei scored a run in the top of the fifth inning. Hayden Melone had an RBI single to score Lane Kohrmann.
    Belleville West scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 6-1 lead. Mater Dei scored a run in the top of the seventh inning. Carter Spaeth and Everett Knackstedt had leadoff singles. They each moved up a base on a ground out. Melone grounded out to score Knackstedt.
    Melone had a hit and two RBI for Mater Dei. Spaeth had a hit and scored a run.
    Ethan Wheelan started on the mound and went two innings, allowing two runs — one earned — on three hits with one strikeout. Hunter Melton allowed one run on two hits with one strikeout in two innings pitched. Dawson Kreke allowed three runs on two hits with one strikeout in two innings pitched.
    Mater Dei hosted Teutopolis on Tuesday and Civic Memorial on Wednesday. Mater Dei plays at Litchfield on Saturday.
